What is the Southeast Asia Games (otherwise known as the Seagames)?
It is the largest and most significant multi-sport event in the region. According to the official Seagames website, the 23rd Seagames constitutes the biggest sporting event in the region, next to the Asian Games.

How often is it held?
Once every two years.

What is the purpose?
T o enable athletes to meet in friendly competition as well as to foster goodwill, friendship and solidarity, in alignment with the aims and aspirations of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Who is hosting the 2005 Seagames?

The hosting country is the Philippines. The Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines is hosting the cycling leg of the Seagames.

What are the opening and closing dates?
Opens : 27 November, 2005. Closes : 5 December, 2005.

How many countries are participating?
11 countries.

When was Singapore the hosting country for the Seagames?
VII SEAP Games Sept. 1-8, 1973
XII SEA Games May 28-June 6, 1983

Our athletes had to go through a very difficult selection criteria (see Nomination and Final Selection Details). After recommendations by a Board of Selectors from SACA, the athletes then had to be selected by the SNOC.

Our riders are training very hard under the guidance of the Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager, and the Coach, and are supported by the Team Mechanic.
