The World BikeTrial Championship
2004

After a gruelling 3 stage course in Europe over the last 4 weeks
the first two ambassadors of
the BikeTrial have come home and are currently training very hard
for the final round on
the 28/29 August 2004.
The Sections were very hard and the conditions were hit by freezing
cold but on an
individual level the riders Winson
Peh ( Expert ) and Walton
Seah ( Senior ) managed to
make to 30th place of 250 individual
qualifiers around the world.

The rest of the Singapore team will be joining the two on the last
and final leg of this
prestigiuous event on the 25 of August 2004. The
adjoining team willcomprise of
Jansen Tan (Expert),Steven Cheah(Expert),Jeremy Chin(Senior), Nelwin
Tay(Expert),
Benjamin Loh(Cadet). Supporting team will be Leon
Lee(expert),Chua Zhenpeng(Senior)
and Brendan Phua(Expert).
At the last round in Japan the rider will be made to negotiate 10
extremely difficult sections
twice over in 4 hours. Traditionally the Japan round is the most
difficult of the World Championships.

Biketrial has a history of almost 100years and is a very popular
cyclesport in Europe.
Despite the odds our Singporean atheletes have once again proven
themselves in
the world championship circuit as the youngest aggresivemember country
of the
sport of BikeTrial.
The BIU and SACA would like wish the national team
